Sick baby=Crawling baby
Well, our little Hailey has been really sick with bronchitis for the last week. Besides all the breathing treatments which we have to give her and all the late nights of coughing spurts, our little angel still had time to work on her gross skills. Well first things first. Last night Hailey pulled up for the very first time so we had to lower the bed this evening. Secondly, and the most important she crawled. She REALLY crawled. We even video recorder it to share with everyone this proud moment we shared with Hailey. We thought that she might not ever crawl and just go straight to walking so this was really an exciting moment for us. So, although our little one has been sick, she still bring excitement and joy, and shows us just how fast she is growing up.

Pumpkin Patch
So I know it has been awhile since I have posted...but I am super busy with being at work, dealing with Hurricane Ike, and just being plain busy. So today I have the day off, so I thought I would share some pictures from the pumpkin patch. Hailey got to pick out her own pumpkin, while mom and dad got some too (really it was us picking out the baby pumpkin, but whatever). Anyways, hope to keep blogging a little more frequently than I have.. but we have just been so busy!

Galveston Reunion
So last weekend I got to see my both my sisters for a Galveston retreat which was a real treat since I don't get to see them very often. My older sister Kelly lives in Seattle right now working as a doctor and my younger sister Kristen lives in Dallas working as a finacial analyst. It is a really rare occasion I get to see both of them at once. My mom, grandma, little Hailey, and Kristen's best friend Katie came along as well. We stayed at the Galvestonian beach resort and it was super nice! It was so awesome getting to catch up with everyone. Here are some picture to capture our time together.

Baby Talk
Splish Splash!
Hey... I know it has been a while since I have posted, but we have been really busy this summer! Hailey went swimming for the first time with her cousins last week at Greatgrandma Gigi's and she LOVED it! She liked it so much I signed her up for swim classes. She really enjoys singing songs while playing in the water. The best part is she takes really long naps after swimming (Good for mommy :))!! Anyways... it has been such a blessing being home with Hailey this summer..but I have to say it really is a full time job being a stay at home mom. I have a found a WHOLE new appreciate for stay at home moms. Chris and I will being going to Disney World in a couple of weeks, so I have started the breast weaning process. I thought it would be harder, but she seems to like the formula just as much as the breastmilk. I honestly think it has been harder on me than her. Well, hope everyone is having a great summer and will post soon! Here are some pictures from last week's swimming adventure with cousins Caroline, Allison, Becca, their mom Laura Lee, Hailey, Grandma CC, and me.

6 1/2 months already!
Hey everyone! I know it has been awhile since I posted last, but things have been really hectic ever since school got out. Hailey has been keeping me really busy lately! Anyways, Hailey still can't sit up completely yet, but with alot of practice from last week she was able to hold herself for up to 5 minutes yesterday! Chris and I are so proud of our little Hailey and she keeps getting growing so quickly. Starting solids has been a rocky start and it is hard to tell when she is hungry and when she isn't. I do know that she loves applesauce... and even greenbeans a little.Well, I hope everyone's summer is going well and hope to visit with everyone.

The Trip to the ER
I know I haven't posted in a while but baby Hailey went to the hospital last night. First things first. She had a really bad cold for the last week until yesterday when she had a temperature of a 102 degrees. We took her to the clinic first since it was a Saturday and they told me she needed to be sent my ambulance to the Texas Children's Hospital because of her high white blood cell count. We opted to take her ourselves to the ER. When we got there we had to wait for a really long time to see a doctor. After arriving at 7pm, we didn't end up leaving the hospital till 4 am. They ran a blook culture, urine culture, and x-rays on my little baby. Hailey was and still is exhausted from the traumatic experience. Keep us in your prayers and hope everyone has a good Memorial Day. BTW- Chris always knows how to make situations better . Here are some pictures from the ER trip.

Just a couple of wierdos
So Marianne has started the game of the "wierd and unusual" things about yourself. Well, I have many. many strange talents... but there are a few that top the cake. First of all when I asked Chris what he thought was "unusual" about some things I do... he seemed to have already made a list. Here we go... here are some the wierd and unusual things I do.
1. I must always have a hairbrush by my bed. It is pertinent that this happens.
2. When taking a shower, I must go to bed in a specific order when getting ready. Wash my hair, wash my body, then face, and lastly brush my teeth in the shower. Does this make me OCD?
3. Brushing my teeth in the shower... this counts for two spots according to my husband. :)
4. I totally freak out when recieving a bill.. whether its $500 or $5 ( my hubby thinks I "freak out" easily).
5. For some reason when I paint or do any type of art project I always end up with something on my shirt or just being plain messy when I create art.
6. My husband always gets up in the middle of the night and has his midnight snack. I don't know if he is awake or sleepwalking...but I can here the "crunching" sound in the bed. Therefore, since I am married to him...this makes US strange and unusual.
7. Lastly, I always wanted a pet monkey. A REAL life one. My mom thought I was crazy... I didn't get over this obsession until I was a least 18. Just kidding... kind of.
Marianne told me to pass this game along to others.
Here are the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share seven facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
