Daddy's weekend ~ August 22, 2009

Kim traveled to Austin to see Kristen graduate. Congratz Kristen! Unfortunately Hailey was stuck with "Dada"... at home. For the most part I behaved...

We did the whole park thing...

She took a nasty fall after being there only 45mins. I dusted her off and asked her a question that seemed to dry up her tears... "Do we need to leave? I really need to get you cleaned up." She responds with a big "NO"; she wanted to continue playing.

I'm sitting in the rocker because its almost bed time for Hailey and I'm tired.

The next day I decided to water the backyard and she decided to play with the sprinkler.

Afterwards we went to McDonald's for lunch. The picture is in black and white to give it a little more of a classy feel to it. =)

We both had a wonderful time but we couldn't wait to see Mom get back on Sunday.

Happy 4th of July!

Wow! What a fabulous 4th of July we had this year. First, in the morning, Hailey, Kim, John, Emily, Kim's family and I went to the Memorial Fourth of July parade. It was really hot and a long walk! It was really neat though we you got to the end they had bouncy floats and free food and drinks! After, we had family over at our house to celebrated fourth of july. It was great having the pool outside since it kept the little ones entertained for hours!

Summer Fun

So... it has been such a blast getting to spend the time with my little Hailey. Swim class is so much fun to spend with her and going to stroller strides and meeting other mommies is really fun. I could really get use to not going to work... I really enjoy my time with her. Anyways... I have some pictures to share with everyone.

Hailey Update

Okay, so I never post I have been told. So here's the update... Hailey's personality is becoming quite apparent. She loves playing hide and go seek (even though she thinks she disappears when she puts her hands on her eyes). She also has recently become very interested in her belly button and thinks it is really fun to show "everybody" where her belly button is to just about anyone (including strangers). She continues to babble and talk constantly and loves to put things away in drawers, cabinets, anything she can get her hands on. So most people would think this is a blessing except she hides things I need, and I sometimes think I am crazy because I can't find something I need. She also likes to hide her milk in drawers that is later found weeks later. Anywho- she continues to amaze me and having such a lovey baby (she loves to kiss and cuddle) is the most wonderful a joy a mother could ever have.

So, Hailey got to go Easter egg hunting twice this year. On Saturday she got to go to the church and pick up eggs and then on Sunday we went over to Grandma CC's for an Easter egg hunt as well. Here are some pictures to celebrate this wonderful event.

It's been a long time...

So, I have been really busy with Hailey and work and that is why I have not had time to update my blog. So I thought I would share some pictures of the zoo from Spring Break with "Shuggy" Sheila. Hailey is kinda walking, but not completely yet. I think she is a very cautious child and is much more of a thinker than a "do-er". Also, Hailey is now saying words like "mama", "dada", "wall", "bye bye", "go go", "done", "eye", and "hi". It is so cool to see her turn into a little girl and see her personality come through. Hope you all enjoy the pictures and hope to update a little more frequently!

Last Sunday our baby turned one years old! She had a huge party with lots of gifts, food, and cake. When she first put her hand in the cake she didn't know what to exactly do, but then after I smooshed her hand in it, she loved it! Here are some pictures to celebrate the big event.
